Invitation To A Die-In is a “sung story” written by composer, Nkeiru Okoye with text by David Cote in direct musical response to recent murders of unarmed Black men at the hands of police officers or vigilantes. It was commissioned by Maestro Ng Tian Hui and the Mt. Holyoke Orchestra in memory of Trayvon Martin.
This Premiere performance features baritone Damian Norfleet.
