MusicUNTOLD presented screening of the Mexican film ANGELITOS NEGROS at St. Anthony, Long Beach, CA, followed by live performance of title song by 91.5 year young Paul Robeson protege soprano Hope Foye.
Her passport was taken from her during the McCarthy era because she participated in a competition in East Germany and she spent the next years earning a successful career outside of the United States, including Mexico where she often performed the song “Angelitos Negros.”
