MusicUNTOLD will present a FREE performance by soprano Jumi Kim and pianist Mary Au, July 4, 2016 at Korean Bell of Friendship Celebration. The performance will include two original poem songs written and composed by South Korean composer\/educator Joopoong Kim. CANDLE LIGHT for soprano is dedicated to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King and sung in the Korean language. WINGS for soprano is sung in English and dedicated to President Obama and world peace.

The ceremony begins July 4, 2016, 10:30 am at the Korean Bell of Friendship Pavilion (3601 S Gaffey St, San Pedro, CA 90731) with striking view of the Pacific Ocean at Angel Gate Park, San Pedro. <\/span><\/div>\n

\"Jumi\"<\/a>Jumi Kim<\/span><\/strong>, soprano, has been a featured soloist at concerts, including\u00a0<\/span>Messiah<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>with The Ball State Symphony Orchestra and in\u00a0<\/span>Hodie<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>by Vaughn Williams with The Muncie Symphony Orchestra. Her recent solo performances include Vivaldi\u00a0<\/span>Gloria<\/span>and Mozart\u00a0<\/span>Requiem<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>with Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorale and Orchestra, Pergolesi\u00a0<\/span>Stabat Mater<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>with\u00a0<\/span>Brillante<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Chamber Ensemble, Bach\u00a0<\/span>Church Cantata<\/span>, BWV 51 and Bach\u00a0<\/span>Magnificat\u00a0<\/span><\/span>with Symphony of the Vines on the Central Coast. She also appeared as a guest artist at the 50 Anniversary of MLK Jr. Symphony of Brotherhood Concert in Los Angeles.<\/div>\n

\"mary-au\"<\/a>Mary Au<\/strong> \u6b50\u6167\u8ce2, born in Hong Kong, is a much sought after collaborative artist, coach and educator with worldwide experience. Hailed for her “sensitive, seamless transition between chamber music collaboration and piano accompaniment” (Cariaga, LA Times critic), Au is equally adept at collaborating with strings, vocals and other orchestral instruments. Her collaboration with renowned artists from around the globe, including the legendary Tchaikovsky Gold Medalist Nathaniel Rosen and Opera Superstar Christine Brewer, her appearances in Columbia Artists Management Community Concerts and the Piatigorsky Foundation Artists Concerts have been enthusiastically received.
