MusicUNTOLD and KUSC Classical Radio 91.5 FM (http://www.kusc.org/)  present 150th Anniversary EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION Concert on September 22, 2012 at the AT&T Center Theatre/Auditorium (Downtown Los Angeles).

 

 

 


Long Beach Community Cinema

Community Cinema is a groundbreaking public education and civic engagement initiative featuring free monthly screenings of films from the Emmy Award-winning series Independent Lens. MusicUNTOLD hosts Long Beach Community Cinema monthly at the Long Beach Main Public Library, bringing together leading organizations and community members to learn, discuss, and get involved in key social issues of our time.

 

 


JUNTEENTH WORLDWIDE CONCERT

Founded in 2009, MusicUNTOLD presents the JUNTEENTH WORLDWIDE CONCERT. Each year the concert celebrates the history of Juneteenth as well as highlighting current issues. Themes have included the West Coast debut of Roy Harris’ “Bicentennial Symphony”, The Golden Voice of Africa, Salif Keita and last year’s performance by mezzo-soprano Denyse Graves.

 

 


Arts Educational Programming

Partnering with local, national and internationally acclaimed artists of all genre, Music UNTOLD brings arts education to the classroom and community.

 

 

 

 


Musical Performances

From piano recitals to Latin Hip-Hop, MusicUNTOLD is at the forefront of bringing world class musicians to Long Beach for free, community based performances.

 

 

 


Film Screenings

MusicUNTOLD hosts screenings and previews of award winning films. Free and open to the public, these events invite an engaged audience to enjoy the cinematic arts then, talk one- on – one with the films’ director.

 

 

 


Event Performances

Drawing on professional relationships with many stars of the live performance world, MusicUNTOLD presents event entertainment at a variety of venues.

 

 

 


Art Exhibits

Part of the mission statement of MusicUNTOLD is to make art accessible for all community members. These educational exhibits focus on social history and change.
